I love Virginia Postrel's writing, and missed her when she left
Reason magazine.
This article describes her breast cancer treatment, and compares the availability of the drugs she had access to here in the U.S., versus New Zealand and England under their respective "universal" health care systems, and (INEVITABLE) rationing and denials of care.
I don't know how many different ways it can be said: government-run health care will result in the
government making the decisions - not you, not your doctor, not even the pharmaceutical companies. God, people, why on earth do you want the
government controlling the actual
experts?
