An announcement is imminent? Just when you think that the news doesn't hold anything new or interesting, along comes
this story.
I have to admit, I have often wondered what the position of the Catholic Church would be, vis-a-vis the existence of intelligent beings on other planets, and what effect that would have on Christian theology - particularly the salvific nature of Jesus Christ's time on Earth. Perhaps soon we will find out.
